Pre/Post-Procedure Regimen
1-3 Days:
(determined by your doctor depending on post procedure swelling, scabbing, redness and uniqueness to your procedure assessed by your health care professional-this regimen is a conservative approach as outlined).This timetable is an estimate, each procedure and outcome is unique, your physician will advise you when it is appropriate to amend your regimens. Cleanse with PrepH (stage 1). 2) Then apply Regenerate (stage 7) to the procedure area with a final generous application of 0.1% Melatonin. REPEAT EVERY TWO to THREE HOURS THROUGHOUT THE DAY, the Regenerate (stage 7) and Melatonin (stage 8) application until 8pm. After 8pm, let the procedure area rest.
3-5 Days:
(determined by patient progress as stated above) Stages 1, 3, 4 (pHade 10%), 7 & 8 according to directions twice a day AM & PM.
Follow your doctor’s advice on applying sunscreen.
10-14 days:
Please note that acne flair ups are not uncommon. MODUS’ ClaripHy-KA is a product to consider implementing (alternate with pHade 10%, not designed to be applied at the same application) for this specific concern.
8-14 days:
Return to your normal MODUS customized regimen once your physician assesses procedure area has returned to normal.
Sunscreen and avoiding the sun is essential prior to laser as well as, post laser procedure.
EXAMPLE: A 57-year old patient seeking laser treatment on her face and chest* to tighten skin and balance skin tone and texture requires special care before the procedure to prepare and restore the skin environment to its ultimate condition for superior outcomes and to assist with the healing process. This regimen provides the skin with the necessary vitamins (pre) and anti-inflammatory topical treatments (post) to ensure an optimal result**.
Pre-Procedure: 3 days prior- regardless of your regimen, a patient MUST suspend the use of PuripHy (stage 2) and the use of Retinoids (stage 5) ***
Post-Procedure: Immediately… following procedure, apply 0.1% Melatonin to the entire procedure surface, avoiding the mucous membranes. Let the skin rest until the following day.
(*) This is a sample situation, adjustments may be necessary as each patient is unique with unique conditions.
(**) Education is key, the patient must always be prepared and expect an adjustment period while skin learns how to absorb and utilize the ingredients in MODUS. Actual skin condition can regress before rebounding, which is common in any true professional skin care system.
(***) Procedure is defined as light therapy, microdermabrasion, laser, peels, surgery with sutures, etc….however, the regimen needs to be coordinated with your doctor’s consultations and may need further customizing or changes.
MODUS Stage 4 - pHade 5% & 10% and MODUS Stage 6 - ExpHoliate will be replaced with the new Tutino 2nd Generation skin care products. These products are made to be compatible with MODUS products. You will notice only an improved feel as these products have been re-formulated to accelerate and improve your results.
