Q: I’ve been using Modus for two weeks now, and my skin seems to look worse? Am I doing something wrong? Is this normal?

A: Your skin has been accustomed to its own processes of dealing with free radicals for a long time. It takes time to facilitate beautification and acceptance of new compounds. Some skin conditions require more patience than others. Some Modus patients have conditions, such as, adult onset acne. Q: My containers of Modus do not have any scents that I recognize, why?

A: Modus is committed to using botanical ingredients to achieve results. We will not add anything to the formulated product that is not absolutely necessary in achieving skin’s optimal health. Therefore, Modus will not add synthetic or essential oils to achieve a particular fragrance. The scents you smell are the natural ingredients used. You can feel confident knowing that nothing is added to mask anything in the Modus skincare line.

Q: My face feels tender and is slightly peeling around my mouth. Is this normal?

A: Yes, often this is the case if your physician has prescribed the Stage 6 expHoliation to your regimen. You and your doctor can best decide if you can or want to tolerate this mild discomfort or adjust your regimen to facilitate the process less aggressively. Q: What happens to my skin if I stop using the products?

A: Nothing unusual, except the longer you were using the Modus skincare line, the better results you achieved. These results will slowly vanish and your skin will return to its prior condition and will show the signs of aging, as if you never used the product before. Q: My sunspots faded? Can I stop using the pHade?

A: Melanocytes are never gone; achieving the best possible skin health controls them visually. If you stop using the pHade and you see them reappearing, reincorporate the pHade back into your regimen along with your physician’s advice.

Q: How long will my products last? How often will I have to replenish my supply?

A: The answer is completely dependent on whether or not the patient is compliant. The system when prescribed is designed to have Stage 2 (puripHy) and Stage 3 (Stable Vitamin C) last approximately thirty days. It is a good indicator if the product is being used precisely to achieve the desired results. The 30-day supply helps patients and physicians alike monitor dosages. The Stage 1 face wash, prepH will last 30-45 days depending on area(s) being cleansed. Depending on your prescribed regimen, most other products are designed to last on an average patient, for 2-3 months or longer. Each patient is unique and many patients are not compliant each and every day, which effects the replacements and results. Modus is most concerned if you’re running out of product too quickly, as Modus would be concerned with too much product being wasted on a given application or whether your skin is receiving the allotted amount in order to effect skin’s health. Q: Can I still use other moisturizers or other chosen cleansers and the like?

A: MODUS has been designed to create a biological effect on a cellular level. Each step is scientifically proven to work synergistically together. Certain ingredients cannot penetrate the skin barrier, molecularly, unless the pH is at precise levels. This is not debatable and is understood among medical professionals. PrepH (1) lowers the pH for better transportation of the LAA-Vitamin C, PuripHy (2) further lowers the pH to a near acid level, AND tightens pores, and fights topical bacteria formation. Vitamin C (3) is clinically proven to synthesize collagen, improve vascularization, protect against UV damage, among many other functions.
