Q: Why does Modus refer to their system as a “face fitness plan”?

A: Modus skincare was not designed to “fix” a problem or concern and then discard it. Although, a patient can make the decision to stop using Modus skincare at any time they so choose. However, keep in mind, Modus was designed for patients seeking a product that would allow skin to look and perform its best by achieving optimal skin health by being nourished delivering valuable nutrients and amino acids on a daily application method. Just as the human body must have a continual fitness plan and a healthy daily diet to perform optimally, so must the body’s largest organ, the skin. Modus was designed to achieve health that would further enhance surgical outcomes and/or other skin processes performed by a physician. It does not “cure” diseases or conditions. It is best understood, by giving skin its best ability to support and strengthen collagen, achieve autonomy, health and nourishment by applying the regimen daily on a continual basis for the best skin performance.

Q: My skin is so sensitive, how can I be assured that this system will work for me?

A: Modus Skincare was conceived especially for sensitive skin patients. The botanicals used are specifically formulated to be gentle on even the most sensitive skin conditions such as rosacea and psoriasis. If your concerned, your physician can recommend a “Starter Regimen” while your skin makes the adjustments necessary working toward your physicians recommended course of skin rejuvenation.

Q: My skin feels dry/oily after applying all the necessary stages in my customized Modus skincare program? | Watch Video

Q: My skin feels dry/oily after applying all the necessary stages in my customized Modus skincare program?

A: Your skin is not like anyone else’s. Modus understands that factor. This is the reason Modus is committed to physician prescribed protocols, as there are adjustments that need to be made from time to time. Follow your regimen instructions precisely in order to help your physician decipher the correct dosages of each Stage in the Modus skin care line to allow you to achieve your optimal skin health. Some issues come from not precisely applying enough or too much of one component. The quickest answer Modus wants to communicate to you is, there is always a solution to your concerns. It may take some review of your understanding of the regimen or your physician may titrate or ask you to omit a stage in your regimen, in order to allow your skin to calm. The temporary omission of a product may be your puripHy, Vitamin C, your pHade, your claripHy, your expHoliate, or your melatonin. These complex components customized by your physician occasionally need adjusting. Do not give up; contact Modus or your physician directly with any questions or concerns. Solutions are a phone call away.

Q: I’ve been using Modus for two weeks now, and my skin seems to look worse? Am I doing something wrong? Is this normal? | Watch Video

Q: I’ve been using Modus for two weeks now, and my skin seems to look worse? Am I doing something wrong? Is this normal?

A: Your skin has been accustomed to its own processes of dealing with free radicals for a long time. It takes time to facilitate beautification and acceptance of new compounds. Some skin conditions require more patience than others. Some Modus patients have conditions, such as, adult onset acne. Once they begin their Modus regimen, they see a crescendo effect of their overall skin. This is where patience is essential and compliance is key. In a short time, skin will regulate and “learn” how to absorb all the nutrients to help beautify your skin. See some of our case studies.

Q: My containers of Modus do not have any scents that I recognize, why? | Watch Video

Q: My containers of Modus do not have any scents that I recognize, why?

A: Modus is committed to using botanical ingredients to achieve results. We will not add anything to the formulated product that is not absolutely necessary in achieving skin’s optimal health. Therefore, Modus will not add synthetic or essential oils to achieve a particular fragrance. The scents you smell are the natural ingredients used. You can feel confident knowing that nothing is added to mask anything in the Modus skincare line.

Q: My face feels tender and is slightly peeling around my mouth. Is this normal?

A: Yes, often this is the case if your physician has prescribed the Stage 6 expHoliation to your regimen. You and your doctor can best decide if you can or want to tolerate this mild discomfort or adjust your regimen to facilitate the process less aggressively. It is a personal decision made with your physician.

Q: What happens to my skin if I stop using the products?

A: Nothing unusual, except the longer you were using the Modus skincare line, the better results you achieved. These results will slowly vanish and your skin will return to its prior condition and will show the signs of aging, as if you never used the product before. Modus has a case study depicting this exact situation to demonstrate what happens as we age and omit professional skin care.

Q: My sunspots faded? Can I stop using the pHade?

A: Melanocytes are never gone; achieving the best possible skin health controls them visually. If you stop using the pHade and you see them reappearing, reincorporate the pHade back into your regimen along with your physician’s advice.

Q: My sunspots faded? Can I stop using the pHade?

Q: How long will my products last? How often will I have to replenish my supply?

A: The answer is completely dependent on whether or not the patient is compliant. The system when prescribed is designed to have Stage 2 (puripHy) and Stage 3 (Stable Vitamin C) last approximately thirty days. It is a good indicator if the product is being used precisely to achieve the desired results. The 30-day supply helps patients and physicians alike monitor dosages. The Stage 1 face wash, prepH will last 30-45 days depending on area(s) being cleansed. Depending on your prescribed regimen, most other products are designed to last on an average patient, for 2-3 months or longer. Each patient is unique and many patients are not compliant each and every day, which effects the replacements and results. Modus is most concerned if you’re running out of product too quickly, as Modus would be concerned with too much product being wasted on a given application or whether your skin is receiving the allotted amount in order to effect skin’s health. Consult your physician or Modus directly if you feel you may need clarification.

Q: Can I still use other moisturizers or other chosen cleansers and the like?

Q: Can I still use other moisturizers or other chosen cleansers and the like?

A: MODUS has been designed to create a biological effect on a cellular level. Each step is scientifically proven to work synergistically together. Certain ingredients cannot penetrate the skin barrier, molecularly, unless the pH is at precise levels. This is not debatable and is understood among medical professionals. PrepH (1) lowers the pH for better transportation of the LAA-Vitamin C, PuripHy (2) further lowers the pH to a near acid level, AND tightens pores, and fights topical bacteria formation. Vitamin C (3) is clinically proven to synthesize collagen, improve vascularization, protect against UV damage, among many other functions. The entire regimen was designed to support the skin’s immune system and create a true biological effect by moving the pH down and back to normal, precisely depositing and delivering the necessary vitamins, compounds, amino acids and nourishment for optimal skin health.

Q: Why does Modus constantly remind patients to use sunscreen? | Watch Video

Q: Why does Modus constantly remind patients to use sunscreen?

A: Modus uses vitamins and amino acid that can react to sun exposure, creating all sorts of skin issues. For example, if a patient is using the regimen to even skin tone because the patient has hyper-pigmentation and forgets to apply a sunscreen, the problem can be exacerbated. It is best to avoid this potential effect and regardless, there is no argument for avoiding the sun’s damaging effects. Sunscreen applied everyday is always the first line of defense for skin health. Any questions, we recommend looking at the American Academy of Dermatology’s web site regarding sunscreen use: http://www.aad.org/public/News/DermInfo/DInfoSunscreenFAQ.htm
